Getting started

Choose a photo or tap Take Photo, then tap Generate Music. Photos with a clear, distinct object or outline tend to work well. Play the result, change its sound or tempo, and save it to the Gallery.

What is free? When do I pay?

Your first photo can use the full creative tools and be saved free. Saving a second distinct photo opens Full Framelody, a one-time purchase. After the first free save, additional new photos use Piano and Chromatic unless you unlock; other sounds, scales and MIDI export require the purchase. Full Framelody unlocks unlimited Gallery saves and all creative tools. There is no subscription. Editing the same first photo is free; deleting it does not restart the allowance.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open About from the home screen, open Full Framelody or Unlock Framelody, then tap Restore Purchases. You can also reach the purchase screen from a locked feature. Use the same Apple Account on iPhone or the same Google account in Google Play on Android. An internet connection is needed. Check the relevant store's purchase history if no purchase is found. Apple and Google purchases are separate. Restoration unlocks features; it does not recover deleted Gallery files.

How do I test Android Preview?

Android Preview requires Android 10 or later and is labelled Framelody Preview. It is separate from the eventual Play app, with separate Gallery data. It supports photo import, camera-app capture, playback, Gallery and video export; the second distinct Gallery save shows the purchase screen. Live purchase testing requires a Play-installed test build after store setup. Use a photo with a distinct subject against a contrasting background, and adjust Background separation if needed.

For USB installation, enable Developer options and USB debugging, connect a data-capable cable, unlock the phone and approve the computer. Update Preview with the same package and certificate to retain its files. Do not uninstall it to fix an update error.

I cannot hear the music

Tap Play and increase the media volume. Check whether audio is going to Bluetooth headphones or another output. Try a photo with a clearer outline if few notes were generated. Choose an instrument and a comfortable note range, then generate again.

What do tempo and steps change?

BPM changes playback speed. More steps sample the photo at more points and make a longer sequence at the same tempo. Sound Mapping lets you choose note range, scales and how the outline becomes notes.

Where are my photos and music stored?

The Gallery is stored on your phone. Framelody does not upload it to a server. On iPhone, keep a device backup and export important work. Android excludes app data from automatic cloud backup and transfer, so export anything you want to keep elsewhere. Avoid deleting the app if you want to preserve your Gallery. Preview, Play and iPhone Galleries are separate.

Can I share or export?

Share Music Video opens the iOS share sheet or Android share chooser with your generated video. Save Video places a movie in your device's media library; Android uses Movies/Framelody. MIDI export is included in Full Framelody and is also available for your first free photo. Choose your destination in the system share menu.

Billing, pending purchases and refunds

The store that processed your purchase handles billing and refunds. A pending purchase unlocks only after approval and verification. On iPhone use Apple's Report a Problem; on Android follow Google Play's refund instructions. If a purchase fails, your existing Gallery remains available.

When contacting us, include your phone model, iOS or Android version, Framelody version, whether it is Preview or a store build, and a description of the issue. Please do not send passwords or payment card details.
